These are what Marjuki and his family did last sunday morning. 1. Father dug a hole at the garden. he asked us to dump the rubbish there. 2. Marjuki and his sister, Nella, went to the yard and dumped the rubbish into the hole. 3. Nella also brought  the rubbish bin. 4. Mother took off branches that jutted into the street. 5. Suddenly Marjuki ran to the kitchen. 6. He lighted matches from the kitchen and started to burn the rubbish. 7. Father shouted at him and forbade him not to do it. 8. Father told that the rubbish will become natural fertilizer one day. 9. Marjuki listened his father's explanation. 10. Then, after washing their hands and feet, marjuki and his family gathered  together at the verandah.

RECOUNT TEXT  

Recount Text adalah salah satu jenis text dalam bahasa Inggris yang menceritakan kembali tentang kejadian-kejadian atau pengalaman-pengalaman di masa lampau. Tujuan dari Recount Text adalah untuk memberikan informasi atau untuk menghibur pembaca sehingga tidak terdapat konflik seperti yang terdapat di dalam narrative text.  

Macam-macam Recount Text  

1. Personal Recount . Personal recount adalah recount text yang berfungsi menceritakan tentang pengalaman pribadi penulis.  
2. Factual recount . Factual recount adalah recount text yang berfungsi untuk menyajikan laporan peristiwa yang benar-benar terjadi, seperti laporan percobaan ilmu pengetahuan ataupun laporan kepolisian.
3. Imaginative. Imaginative adalah jenis recount text yang berfungsi menyajikan sebuah cerita imaginatif. Lalu menuliskan peristiwa atau kejadian yang telah terjadi.  

Struktur Recount Text  

1. Orientation yaitu pengenalan berupa memberikan informasi tentang siapa, dimana dan kapan peristiwa atau kejadian itu terjadi di masa lampau.  
2. Events yaitu merupakan rekaman peristiwa yang terjadi, biasanya disampaikan dalam urutan kronologis, seperti : "In the first day... . And in the next day... . And in the last day... ." Pada bagian ini terdapat juga komentar pribadi tentang peristiwa atau kejadian yang diceritakan.  
3. Reorientation yaitu kesimpulan atau pengulangan pengenalan yang ada di orientation, pengulangan tentang rangkuman peristiwa atau kejadian yang diceritakan.  

Ciri Kebahasaan Recount Text  

Pada saat membaca Recount Text, akan ditemukan ciri-ciri kebahasaan sebagai berikut :  

1. Menggunakan kalimat dalam bentuk Past Tense. Contoh : We went to Bandung last year, I was very happy.  
2. Menggunakan Action Verbs. Contoh : went, bought, wrote, slept, dll.  
3. Menggunakan Adverbs and Adverbial Phrase untuk mengungkapkan waktu, tempat dan cara. Contoh : yesterday, at school, quickly, dll.  
4. Menggunakan Conjunction dan Time Connectives untuk mengurutkan peristiwa atau kejadian. Contoh : but, and, after that, dll.

A Beautiful Day at Jogja  

Last week, my friends and I went to Jogja. We visited many places.  

recount text holiday. First, we visited Parangtritis beach. The sun shone brightly and the scenery was very beautiful there. We felt the wind blew across to us. We also saw a lot of people in that beach. There werw many birds flew in the sky. Also, there were many sellers who sold many kinds of souvenirs. Second, we visited Gembira Loka Zoo. We saw many kinds of animals there such as monkeys, tigers, crocodiles, snakes, etc. We looked around in that Zoo, and also took pictures of those animals. Then, we felt hungry, so we went to a restaurant. As soon as we finished our lunc, we decided to go home. For me, that was a beautiful day though I could not visit Malioboro. we really enjoyed it, and I hope I could visit Jogja again.
